Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an review of reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
