19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player secured his maiden championship for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has had a difficult period, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt after spring of 2023.
Victory also means Medvedev has won 21 championships at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my children simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."

The player's counter-punching play style and regular emotional displays on court had prompted some to question if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Moutet, taking four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a third set.
He rescued four early break points in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he earned victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
